My name is Samuel Appiah Darko. I am the Parliamentary Correspondent for leading Ghanaian radio station JOY 99.7 FM.I also string for IRINNEWS. I am 29 years old and married to Tabitha Bremang Danquah. I hold a first class degree in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana/ Ghana Institute of Journalism. I expect to start law school by 2012. I have over 4 years of journalism experience as Senior Broadcast Journalist/Producer. I also host Sunday Edition on Joy Fm-the show gives listeners of Joy Fm unlimited access to the Joy Fm news room, telling them how the station’s journalists covered the news that made the headlines. I have also had a working experience as an online Journalist with defunct Tropicalvibes.net, a news portal based in Canada. I also worked as a News Reporter with the Business and Financial Times. I enjoy traveling, debating and reading. I have so far traveled to Germany and Sao Tome and Principe to cover activities of United States Africa Command and US Naval Forces African Partnership Station Project. I was also in Liberia to cover a business assignment for Nigerian airline Virgin Nigeria. I am currently reading the “The Firm" by John Grisham.
